Resume Writing
I was surprised with how well this activity went for my groups. This was a new activity that I had created this semester. I thought that everyone came up with useful skills and well thought out bullet points. When I came to college freshman year, I had never written a resume that had descriptive bullet points to explain the skill listed. I was a little nervous that if some students haven't had that experience, that the instructions were not going to be clear. I do not think it was necessary for this activity to be done through Voice Thread, but because this class has a lot of discussion board activities, I thought it would be a good way to use something less common. In the future it may be easier for students to use a typed/written mode of submission so that they can actually see and edit their skill descriptions better. I have never created anything through Voice Thread so this was a learning experience for myself as well. Overall I was happy with how this activity went, and in the future I might change the job descriptions for the students to read.
